With over 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, branding and design, Robert really knows his stuff. A graduate of Mohawk College’s graphics design program, his journey into the land of outdoor living spaces started in 2005, when he was given the opportunity to join a startup company specializing in artificial grass called AGL. Known more at the time for sporting applications than residential projects, Robert led the charge into thecommercial/residential marketplace, a venture that has yielded tremendous results.
Since then, Robert he has gone on to design over 1,000 residential home projects, hundreds of playgrounds and countless rooftops in and around the GTA. His resume boasts an impressive array of high-profile projects, such as the Toronto Harbourfront Centre, Mississauga Civic square, Vaughn Mills shopping center, the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas, and the MGM Grand in Connecticut.
Keeping a pulse on new products and designs styles has allowed me the opportunity to work with some the best architects, designers and builders in the industry. I learned to maximize the use of space while keeping the area visually appealing.
Robert’s marketing and branding efforts have also been seen at major global events (The Oscars, Teen Choice Awards, Grammys and the Emmys), and his work has been featured on various television shows (Flipping Out, Living with Ed, Battleground Earth, Designing Spaces, Real Life, DailyWeb TV, Extra, Income property, CH morning live, Breakfast Television) and publications (The National Post, Globe and Mail, Hamilton Spectator, Toronto Star).
But Robert’s true passion has always been design, and when given the opportunity to become the newest member of The Deck Store team in 2013, he dove in head first. In a short period of time, Robert has transformed from industry newcomer to a specialist in alternative surface solutions, 3D rendering, contemporary deck designs and landscapes.
