Cumaru

Premium Grade Cumaru decking is an exotic hardwood species native to South America. It is extremely dense and rich in colour and appearance. Cumaru Decking is 5 times harder than pine, cedar and redwood and over 10 times stronger than composite decking products. Rated in the most durable hardwood category of all species worldwide. Cumaru Decking is rated 25 years against decay and insect damage. Applications that have withstood 50 years, testify to the longevity of this material. With Cumaru Decking, the application of sealers is purely optional. Cumaru Decking naturally weathers to a beautiful, silver-gray patina. Cumaru Decking boasts a fire rating of Class A, the same as concrete or steel! Cumaru is harvested from managed forest projects. It is naturally seasoned and kiln dried to prevent shrinkage.

Knotty Cedar – Western Redwood

Western Red Cedar is a superior all-weather decking material. A cedar wood deck is naturally resistant to decay and insect damage. Cedar wood decking has a unique grown in the woods preservative oil that means no further treatment of the deck material is needed unless the deck material is in direct contact with the ground. Cedar wood decking material has less than half the swelling and shrinking tendencies of other domestic softwoods. Our wood decking material lies flat, stays straight, retains fasteners and provides a firm base for paints and stains. This allows your cedar wood deck to age gracefully through decades of extreme weather

Clear Cedar

The ultimate in durability and appearance, Clear Cedar has very few knots and blemishes and is considered a prime choice when it comes to building decks. Its fine grained appearance will meet the needs of the most demanding clients. All aspects of manufacturing and quality control are performed to the highest standards of the lumber industry. Clear Cedar decking should be specified when only the best will suffice.

Abaco

Abaco is the perfect choice for a beautiful wood deck, thanks to its natural ability to resist rot, decay, termites, splintering, twisting and cracking.
Abaco also features all the deck railing components needed to construct a beautifully matched railing. Abaco railing components include balusters, handrails and end posts.
The species used in Abaco are abundant, have fine textures and are dense, naturally strong, extremely durable, and will provide an elegant exotic look for years to come. Abaco tropical hardwoods are kiln-dried for exterior use and have a superior fire rating when compared to redwood, cedar and pressure-treated lumber.
Because Abaco is all-natural, it does not need to be chemically treated. And best of all, it’s environmentally friendly.

Tamarindo

One of the more prominent tropical hardwood species on the Caribbean coasts of Nicaragua and Honduras, Jutahy is one of the world’s hardest species. Its tight grain, typically a reddish-brown in the heartwood, is straight and occasionally interlocked. It is highly valued for its strength and durability for a variety of uses. Because of its spectacular density, Jutahy can be difficult to cut and plane without stelite or tungsten carbide steel cutting tools. Dulling effect considerably high due to the extreme hardness and high silica content. The grain does respond well to polishing and sanding, and displays a beautiful finished look when sealed.

Jatoba

Jatoba, also widely known as Brazillian Cherry, is one of the world’s most sought tropical hardwoods due to its exceptional hardness and striking appearance. Its colors can range from orange and red to darker shades of purple and brown, depending on exposure to light. Jatoba’s textured grain is typically interlocked.
Jatoba is rated as highly workable, but sharp, quality cutting tools are required as the heartwood is considerably dense. Gluing is reportedly good, and fasteners hold effectively.
Jatoba dries at a fast to moderate rate with low end-checking, and other defects. Kiln schedules T3-C2 and T3-C1 are recommended for 4/4 and 8/4 lumber, respectively.
Because of its exceptional durability, Brazillian Cherry is used extensively as flooring and decking throughout Europe and the United States. It is rated very high in resistance to wood borers and insects. Jatoba is also very resistant to rot and fungal attack when used for exterior purposes.
